France, Naps, and Fundamental Attribution Error
Happy Saturday, friend!
We’re back again with another edition of Productivity + Habits + Fun

I struggled with this for many years.
Life is messy, and all plans change once they’re tested.
The only way to make progress is to take action.
💪 Featured Productivity Tool
The power nap.
We’ve all been there: you didn’t get enough sleep the night before, and now you’re at work fighting for your life.
Most of us need between 7 and 9 hours of sleep each night. Some studies allege that sleeping less than 6 hours can triple your risk of a car accident.
If you’ve ever gotten sleepy in the afternoon, I’m there with you. I think people are designed to take a short snooze in the afternoons. I always feel refreshed afterwards, and I know my productivity gets a major boost. Even 20 minutes can make a huge difference.
Do you take any afternoon naps? How do they impact you?
Here is a link to an article on power naps by verywellmind.com if you’re interested in learning more.
😘 How Many Times Should You Kiss Your French Friend?
It’s all French to me!
📈 The World’s Top Economies (1980 - 2075)
It’s interesting to see these future projections. How accurate do you think they are?
😌 Decision-making Idea
The Fundamental Attribution Error: We tend to judge others on their personality, but in the same situation, we judge ourselves based on circumstances.
Example: If someone cuts you off in traffic, your gut reaction is most likely to say some bad words and think that the other person is “bad.” But if you cut someone else off in traffic, it was a harmless mistake.
It can be hard to do, but if you can apply the innocent circumstance to others, you will develop a kinder outlook on how others behave, and you’ll notice yourself being and feeling much more patient.
I encourage you to try it, especailly if you're out on the road at the same time as me!
🧠 Quote of the Week
Great leaders create more leaders, not followers.
What I think: This quote is all about empowering others. When I was in high school, I was in NJROTC for all four years. We all began as followers and steadily progressed into leadership year by year. By senior year, we were responsible for teaching the freshmen and instilling the culture into them. Part of that culture was preparing them for leadership. I’ll never forget that experience.
What about you? What experiences do you have in empowering leadership?
Thank you so much for spending some of you precious time with me. 🙂
I’m always looking to improve, so hit “reply” and let me know what you think!
Have an awesome week.
Sincerely,
Steven Sanders
